Experience

Chris is a Tax Manager in Grant Thornton’s Isle of Man office. He specialises in Isle of Man corporate and indirect tax matters, often focusing on tax-compliant and tax-efficient structuring for Isle of Man-based businesses and their beneficial owners.

Chris has experience in:

Isle of Man corporate tax compliance;
Isle of Man economic substance requirements;
Advising on transactions involving Manx companies;
VAT advisory and compliance, particularly:
- Advising on the setup and operation of Isle of Man-based gaming structures; and
- VAT compliance for property holding companies;
UK registers – trusts and overseas entities with UK land;
Advising asset holding companies on efficient tax structuring;
Ensuring UK property holding structures remain compliant with the increasingly complex UK tax regime
VAT advice for businesses making digital supplies of services

Chris’ experience allows him to work closely with his team to provide practical, implementable tax advice tailored to meet his clients’ needs.
